Further information

With this new experience you can immerse yourself in the magnetic atmosphere of the exhibition "Polyphonies" inside the rediscovered Vasariana Sacristy.

Here, the sixteenth-century tables of Giorgio Vasari finally shine together in their place of origin, which remained for decades kept in the deposits of Capodimonte.

Below this Renaissance horizon, the vibrant response of the twentieth century lights up: a selection of works with a biblical subject signed by giants such as Chagall, Kokoschka, De Stefano and others.

In the center of the aisle, you can admire five precious showcases by Salvador Dalí that house his monumental 1967 Biblia Sacra, a visual pivot around which styles and eras revolve.

The journey continues in the Sala del Lavabo, where the voice of contemporaneity expressed by some masters of our time questions the sacred, finding a powerful metaphor in an ancient marble sink wounded by time and deprived of its frontal decor.

This extraordinary dialogue between ancient, modern and future does not end in the Sacresty.

Included in the cost of the same ticket, your visit will guide you to discover the monumental magnificence kept in the church, where you can be enchanted by the timeless beauty of the two famous Caracciolo Chapels: the Chapel of the Sun and the Vico Chapel.

This experience is part of the MUDD project - Museo Diocesano Diffuso, an initiative that enhances the religious heritage of the historic center of Naples through the reopening of the places, the involvement of the community and the young people of the territory, with an accessible and shared narrative.

Choosing this new path means crossing the threshold of an ancient cenacle of thought that today is reborn as a workshop of the future, a pole of excellence for the arts in which to get lost between memory and creativity.
